This one was a real labour of love… it took me a while to get it done. I masked the dress and used linen, then reverse masked the dress and spritzed on some pink glimmer mist. I wanted the pink paper to have a “pearl look” like the white paper so I mixed 2 white & pink pearl acrylic paints to get a nice light pink and painted the pink CS and brads.

Card for my friend who just had her 3rd child – a precious little girl! She loves paisley, elephants and jewels – so I had to try and make a card with everything on it. I’d love to buy her some ''real'' jewels (she deserves at least that much for having 3 kids!) but I can’t do that so she’ll have to settle for some bling on her card… LOL!

Congratulations card for my friend who is expecting her second child. Her favourite colour is orange and I really wanted to make her a card using orange. I finally found some paper that had orange in it that I didn’t find unattractive and do you think I knew what to do with it…. nope! TOTALLY out of my comfort zone and it took me daaaaaaays to figure out what to do. I’m not thrilled with it, but I don’t now if that’s because the card could be so much better or if it’s because I used colours that I don’t normally use?

Okay, so Halloween is my favourite holiday and I have a friend who loves Halloween too so I made her this card. I saw this paper in my LSS and had to have it. The bats are all raised and soooo cute. When I went to make the card, everything I did covered the dear little critters up! So, I decided to dress the bat up instead of covering it up.

Birthday card that I made for a sweet little boy. My son borrowed this set from his Grammie so I thought I’d play too before returning them to her. Apparently I didn’t spend enough time in my youth dressing up my Barbies… I had to accessorize these poor little animals! Also, I remember seeing a few cards around where people had penciled in or used floss for a giraffe’s “mane” and I really liked the look… so I went with that too. I always use the Circle of Friendship and Riveting stamps as a seal on the back of envies, and thought I’d try using it on an actual card for once! I lent my 1” circle to my MIL so I used the scallop on in it’s place. The brown part of the actual card is stamped with Paisley, but you can’t see it in the picture at all.

This is the Christmas card that I made for my 6 yr old nephew. I didn't want to make it girly, so I left off the embellishments and ribbon... although I imagine things there when I look at it! LOL! I coloured the penguin in with glitter gel pens for lots of Christmas sparkle to match the iridescent DP. I put him on a hill and drew a frozen ice spot for some interest. Thanks for lookin'!

I wanted to make a thank you that had a vintage feel to it. I must admit I am a bit or a hoarder… so I finally used my Thyme Paper and Enchante DP. I was also hoarding some earrings that I had dissected and finally used them too. I really liked a layout that 11Valerie11 did on SCS. I love cutting and had a lot of fun cutting out the black parts of the medallion to layer them over top of the thyme piece.

I made a bunch of these thank you cards for the fantastic gals in my Mom’s group. They were all so wonderful to me while my back was out and after I went in for my back surgery. They took turns watching my son and taking him to fun events and also helped my hubby out with meals. Spending 4 months on the couch and not being able to go out of the house or do anything really brought me down. They really brightened up my life so I wanted to make something really bright to thank them for their kindness. Sometimes (like now for me) saying ‘‘thank you’’ just doesn’t seem near enough to cover the overwhelming generosity of friends…

This is an Anniversary card that I made for my bestest stampin’ buddy! I bought the huge sheet at the $ store thinkin’ that I’d be a smarty pants and make a HUGE card... and it turned out to be quite a challenge to do. Thank goodness for that Big Blossom! After I cut each one out I put glitter around each flower – they really sparkle IRL (the sparkle matches the ribbon and the glitter that is on the flowers on the bottom DP). I bought a chipboard alphabet pack and there weren’t enough “A”s in there so I traced each letter, cut them out and painted them with acrylic paint. I was quite happy with how they turned out. This is definitely the biggest card that I have ever made!
